Happy Father's Day

Today was Father's Day here in Australia.

As Kim is in San Francisco and couldn't be with Ava and Lola for Father's Day I thought I'd create something special for the girls to give to him. I can't wait to show it here on Little Hiccups but it will just have to wait a little longer as I'm yet to post it to Kim and I don't want to spoil the surprise for him.

As well as Daddy's surprise, Ava made a Father's Day card before Kim left for San Francisco and packed it in his carry on baggage with strict instructions that he's not to open it until 4th September. Here she is at the airport with Daddy's card sealed up for Father's Day.

Every year Ava (and now Lola) gives Kim a pair of socks that she chooses for him. This year was no exception and we ordered socks from the fabulous Swedish company Happy Socks to be delivered to Kim's work. Happy Socks make unisex socks in bright, bold geometric patterns. It was hard to choose just a few pairs for the girls to send their Daddy. Ava of course, tried to choose anything pink! I think she thought she was choosing them for herself!
