Seeing as it was Ava's birthday last week I thought I'd share a few more of her past birthday parties.
You can find a post on Ava's 4th birthday party
here and a post on her 2nd birthday party
here.
This time let's go back to 2010 for Ava's 3rd birthday party...
For Ava's 3rd birthday party invitations I decided to use one of her drawings of herself.
It's amazing how much her drawings have changed over the last few years!

Below is the original drawing that Ava's picture came from. This is a family portrait that Ava drew. That's Kim at the top (with no arms or hair!), me in the middle and Ava at the bottom. I love how Ava's hair and ears combine to make it look like she's wearing headphones!

The drawing on the party invitations was also used for the lolly bags. I forgot to take a photo of the lolly bags at the party but you can see them in the corner of the photo below.

And here are the labels that I used.

I'm quite proud of how Ava's birthday cake turned out. It was a pinata cake with a shell of chocolate and lollies over a chocolate cake - and more lollies! After we sang Happy Birthday Ava smashed the pinata shell open with a toy hammer. Such fun!

Smash, smash, smash... |

The kids all dived in for pieces of chocolate before the smashing was even finished! |

All gone! |
As you can see from the photos above we had a face painter at the party. The kids loved getting their faces painted. We had tigers, butterflies, cats, flowers, a few arm tattoos, a zombie and a vampire. A good mix I think!
