Happy Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving is over for another year, leaving us with bellies full of roast turkey, maple glazed sweet potato, cauliflower gratin, roast brussel sprouts and home made pumpkin pie. So completely stuffed!

We had a lovely lunch at our apartment with good friends and (as seems to be tradition) a little too much food. Not that we have huge amounts of food left over mind you; maybe just enough for one more dinner for two. Not too bad.

Here's a look at our Thanksgiving lunch with the Autumn Leaf Turkeys that I made used as place cards.

Ava made the name tags for all of the turkeys. She also made her own "leaf turkey" out of paper. She drew all the individual pieces, cut them out (with a little help from me) and then stuck them in place. Can you tell the difference? :) I love the addition of the wings.

Ava and Lola sat at their own little table for lunch. As their table is completely covered in marker and scratches I covered it in kraft paper and Ava drew on placemats, plates and cutlery. I placed the girls' leaf turkeys in the middle of the drawn plates to match the grown ups' table.

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving with family and friends.
