It's the first day of December and that means it's the first day of the advent calendar. Ava and Lola have eagerly been waiting the arrival of the advent calendar so they were pretty excited this morning when they walked out of their bedroom and discovered it hanging in the hallway.
As usual I have filled our advent calendar with vouchers for Christmas themed activities rather than the traditional chocolates. And as usual first up in the advent calendar was a voucher to write and send letters to Santa, something which Ava has been very eager to do for weeks.

The girls chose some nice writing paper and started their letters to Santa. They've been thinking about what they'd like to ask Santa for for quite some time and both decided on just one item each: an American Girl doll that looks like them. Ava drew a picture of what the doll should look like as well as providing Santa with the style number! Got to make sure that Santa gets it right! Lola drew a much more abstract scribble. Not sure if it's supposed to be a picture of the American Girl doll that she'd like or not, but if it is it's going to be one crazy looking doll!

We will be posting our letters to Santa in a few days at Macy's. Macy's have a
special mail box for collecting letters to Santa. For every letter that is posted in one of their mail boxes they'll donate $1.00 to Make a Wish, up to $1,000,000.00.
Oh, and Ava decided to make her own advent calendar vouchers for Kim and I. Here's a look at today's voucher. It may just be a subtle hint!
