In the Gardens

After our recent visit to Koret Children's Quarter in Golden Gate Park we stopped by the San Francisco Botanical Gardens which are also in the park.

The big girls had fun running around the expansive lawns, trekking down little pathways, playing amongst the towering redwoods, making wishes in the fountain, searching for squirrels in the trees and watching the geese and turtles in and around the pond.

Mathilde slept most of the time but when she was awake she seemed to enjoy staring up at the trees, especially as we walked through the redwood grove. She's really starting to become much more aware of her surroundings and seems calm when there are trees to look at. Being outside surrounded by nature results in one blissed out baby!

The Botanical Gardens are a lovely place to waste away a few hours on a sunny afternoon.

You can see another of our visits to the Botanical Gardens here.
