This past weekend we took the girls to see The Peanuts Movie.
Ava and Lola have been huge fans of Charlie Brown and co since we visited Santa Rosa last year and saw the Peanuts sculptures dotted around town (you can see them here). They've been so excited about the new movie coming out and couldn't wait to see it. I figured that it would be pretty busy on the opening weekend so decided to wait a week. I can't count how many times Ava and Lola asked if we could go see the movie in that week that it was out before we made it there!
We couldn't go see a Peanuts movie without being properly attired, right? Lola and Mathilde wore their Snoopy leggings from Gap and Ava wore her matching Snoopy sweatshirt. Lola also has the matching sweatshirt but I figured that might be a little overkill! On a side note, they're all on sale now so I just stocked up in more sizes!
The girls loved the movie. They laughed along and were excited every time something familiar from classic Peanuts happened. Mathilde tried to copy the noises made by Snoopy and Woodstock as well as the "wah wah wah wah" of the unseen adults.
After the movie finished we treated the girls to a couple of photos in the photo booth located in the cinema lobby. They had a lot of fun working out silly poses and faces to pull (duck face, of course) but when the camera started rolling, so to speak, they soon realized that they were too short sitting down and only the top of Ava's head was in shot! Oh well, another photo soon fixed that problem, and this time they knew to stand on the seat instead.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the new Peanuts movie. If you haven't seen it yet get yourself to a cinema. It's such a fun movie for the whole family.
