Photosynthesis at Conservatory of Flowers

The season of sparkling Christmas displays is almost upon us, but before we get into festive twinkling lights, there's an amazing illumination display that everyone in San Francisco needs to see. And it's only around for a few more days!

Photosynthesis is a nightly illumination display that lights up the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. The display is part of Illuminate SF which brings lighted and glowing art to the city. If you thought that the Conservatory of Flowers was beautiful during, and it is, just wait until you see it at night lit up with colorful botanical illuminations.

We stopped by to check it out a few weeks back and the illuminations did not disappoint. You can easily find a parking space along John F Kennedy Drive and view the display from your car, but it's definitely worth getting out and braving the cool evening air to experience it up close. 

The girls loved getting up close enough that they were in front of the projectors and lit up by the amazing colors. It's not every day that you get to glow in all the colors of the rainbow!

Photosynthesis runs every night from sundown until 11:45pm. There are only a few nights left as the installations ends on November 26th, so if you want to see it in person make sure you head there in the next few days.
