Our Easter Sunday was a pretty busy day as we had to cram all of our Easter celebrations into the morning before heading to the airport for our 12:30pm flight to Los Angeles. Needless to say, the kids woke up pretty early, excited to see if the Easter Bunny had visited over night, so we were all up bright and early. We headed out to the living room and sure enough someone with bunny feet had left sparkly footprints in the living room. The Easter Bunny had been for sure!
The girls were excited to follow the footprints to the dining table and find out just what the Easter Bunny had left for them. They each had a bag full of chocolate, some chocolate from grandparents in Australia and a few gifts from us.
Because it was also April Fool's Day I had a little surprise set up for the kids. See all those colorful plastic eggs on the cabinet in the dining room? Well, some of them contained chocolate eggs (I finally found hollow chocolate eggs for the first time in America!) while others contained something not quite so sweet... little potatoes!
We didn't have time for an egg hunt before our flight, but we did have time for one more fun Easter activity - smashing cascarones, or confetti eggs.
The girls had a fun (if rushed) Easter Sunday before we headed off to the airport for our flight to Los Angeles. Lots more about our trip coming up soon!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter if you celebrate it.
