15 Holiday Events Still on in Denver

Christmas may have been and gone for another year, but that doesn't mean that the holiday fun is over.

Many popular holiday exhibitions and attractions in and around Denver run through to the end of the year or even longer, so if you haven't had your fill of holiday magic yet, you're in luck!

Today I'm sharing all the best holiday attractions that are still open for a little longer yet. I've sorted them by closing date to make it easy to see what's still open without having to read all of the details first.

Camp Christmas 2022

Christmas has come and gone for another year, but I still have a few holiday posts to share with you.

Just like last year and 2019, one of my favorite holiday events was Camp Christmas. It has finished for the season, but I still wanted to share our visit here on the blog - inspiration for next holiday season, right?

So, just what is Camp Christmas? It's an immersive exhibition that takes visitors back to the holidays of the past. Think lots of kitsch holiday decor from the 60s and 70s, tinsel trees, twinkling light displays, and pun trees. It's colorful, it's campy and it's everything I dream the holidays could be!

Lola, Mathilde and I headed to Camp Christmas on Tuesday before the cold, cold weather hit on Wednesday night. We were excited to see many of our favorite installations from the past including the carousel, the pun trees, and all the fun campy vintage decorations, as well as some new exhibits such as the bus below and the interactive guilt repellant spray. The kids had fun blasting that one in each other's faces!

Dr Seuss Experience

Oh, the places you'll go!

There are so many fun places for Colorado families to go this holiday season, but of all the places you go make sure not to miss The Dr Seuss Experience!

The Dr Seuss Experience was a huge hit with Colorado families over Summer and I'm excited to share this it's back for the holidays. Between our Summer travels to Australia and Fiji, and the whole family coming down with the dreaded c virus, we missed out on visiting The Dr Seuss Experience during it's initial season here in Colorado. So when I learned that it was coming back for a limited holiday season I made sure to organize tickets right away.

We visited The Dr Seuss Experience a few weeks back and it was so much fun. If you're following along on Instagram you've likely already seen my post there (click here if you missed it) but I wanted to share all the fun here too.

DALí ALIVE at THE LUME Colorado

 Calling all art lovers!

There's a new immersive art exhibition in town that you must check out.

Dalí Alive is a new immersive art exhibition at THE LUME Colorado in Stanley Marketplace, Aurora. This amazing exhibition is created in conjunction with The Dalí Museum in St Petersburg, Florida and showcases a 360 degree immersive digital experience featuring some of Salvador Dalí's most iconic artworks from his long career as the master of surrealism and beyond.

Let's go check it out...

One of my favorite things about the Dalí Alive exhibition is that it features two areas where visitors can immerse themselves in Dalí's surreal universe in very different ways.

ICE! at Gaylord Rockies

One of my all time favorite holiday events is back and I'm so excited to share it with you!

ICE! is back at Gaylord Rockies after a two year hiatus and this year it features Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang in scenes from the beloved "A Charlie Brown Christmas" movie.

As the name suggests, ICE! is a holiday exhibition made almost entirely of, you guessed it, ice! The exhibition features ten scenes from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" made of colored and clear ice brought to life with twinkling LED lights and music from the original score. The sculptures are so intricate and the colors so vibrant that Mathilde was convinced they were all really made of plastic! Nope - it's ice, ice baby!

Ok, I just made myself cringe with that one. Let's take a look at some pictures while I compose myself!

Activity Advent Calendar Ideas

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you choose to shop through my affiliate links I will earn a small commission but it won't cost you any extra. Thanks for your support!

December is almost here which means it's almost time for the advent calendar.

There are so many great advent calendar options out there, from the classic variety with the tiny chocolates to very specialized advent calendars with character toys, nail polish, make up, tea bags, jams, wine, socks, and even dog treats. We have a reusable advent calendar that I fill with small treats (usually chocolates) and vouchers for holiday themed activities. We've been using the same advent calendar for over a decade now and it always makes me so happy to take it out of storage and fill it with my home made vouchers each year.

So, just what sorts of activities do I include in our advent calendar each year?

Good question! I like to include a mix of holiday activities that we can do at home with little effort, as well as fun local holiday events. If you're in Colorado and looking for holiday events check out my Christmas in Denver 2022 post here. For general activities keep on reading for my list below.
